The Stamford Police Department's Narcotics Unit was on the lookout for Lamor Williams, 47, of the Bronx, when he arrived in town around 7:30 p.m. Friday at Baxter and West avenues, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin.
When officers stopped and searched his vehicle he was in possession of 11 bundles of heroin that contained 110 bags of glassine envelopes of heroin, Conklin said.
He was also in possession of a small amount of pot and a counterfeit $50 bill, he added.
Williams was charged with possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, and forgery for the counterfeit bill.
He is being held on $25,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on April 28.
